London's best craftspeople are invisible to AI. We're fixing that.
The discovery
We started Findcraft after months of studying how AI search engines recommend local businesses. We asked ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI for the best furniture makers, kitchen designers, and architects in London. What came back surprised us.
The businesses AI recommended weren't always the best. They were the most visible — the ones whose websites, directories, and content were structured in a way AI could read and trust. Meanwhile, genuinely exceptional craftspeople — people with decades of experience and stunning portfolios — were nowhere in the results.
That gap between quality and visibility is what Findcraft exists to close.
Why this matters now
AI search is the biggest shift in how customers find businesses since Google launched. But it works differently. Google shows you a list and lets you choose. AI gives you an answer — a specific recommendation. If you're not in that answer, you don't exist.
The agencies that should be helping craftspeople with this haven't caught up. They're still selling SEO playbooks from 2019. The technical work needed to make AI recommend your business — structured data, entity building, content architecture — is a different discipline entirely. And most agencies don't do it because most agencies don't understand it yet.
What we believe
Your craft speaks for itself — to anyone who sees it. The problem is that AI can't walk into your workshop. It can't run its hand over a dovetail joint or admire how light falls in a room you designed. It can only read your digital presence. Our job is to make that digital presence worthy of your craft.
We don't do marketing speak. We don't promise "10x growth." We do careful, technical work that makes AI understand who you are, what you do, and why someone searching for your skill should hear your name first.
About Us
We study how AI search engines decide which businesses to recommend — and we build the systems that put the right businesses in front of the right customers. We started Findcraft because London has some of the finest craftspeople in the country, and almost none of them are visible to the AI tools that customers are starting to use every day.
Findcraft works with a small number of businesses at a time. Every audit is done personally, every recommendation is specific to your trade and your area.
Built from the inside
Findcraft's founder comes from the construction industry — not from marketing. That background means we understand how craftspeople actually work, what their clients care about, and why most digital marketing feels irrelevant to the trades. We built Findcraft because we saw the gap firsthand: exceptional work, invisible online.
Our approach
Everything we do follows the M.A.R.C. methodology — the same research framework behind our published analysis. We've published over 10 in-depth articles on our blog, each built on primary sources and verifiable data. Our research isn't marketing content — it's original analysis that practitioners and industry professionals reference.
Transparency as a principle
Our methodology is public — anyone can inspect how we research, verify our sources, and check our conclusions. Every engagement starts with a free AI Visibility Audit, with no obligation attached. We believe if the work is good, it speaks for itself — the same standard the craftspeople we serve hold themselves to.
